How-to adhere your wooden labels to your containers

Our wooden and acrylic labels are designed to give your pantry, laundry, bathroom or storage containers a timeless, natural look. Because every home uses different containers and surfaces, there isn't a single adhesive that's perfect for every situation. Whether you'd like a permanent solution, something that's removable, or the flexibility to swap your labels between containers, there are several great options available.

Before applying any adhesive, it's important to thoroughly clean the surface of your container. Remove any dust, grease or residue using a lint-free cloth or warm soapy water, then allow the surface to dry completely. A clean surface will give any adhesive the best possible bond.

Permanent Adhesion

For a permanent attachment, we recommend using Gorilla Tough & Clear Mounting Tape.

This clear, double-sided mounting tape is an excellent choice for attaching our labels to glass, acrylic, metal, ceramic and many other smooth or lightly textured surfaces. It provides a clean, invisible finish with no messy glue and forms a strong bond in as little as 60 seconds.

Once applied, your label should be considered permanently attached. Removing it may damage either the label or the container surface.

Semi-Permanent Adhesion

If you'd like the flexibility to remove, reposition or update your wooden labels in the future, a removable mounting option is a great choice.

Nano Gel Grip Tape

For a strong hold with the ability to remove your labels later, we recommend double-sided nano-grip gel tape.

Made from a flexible nano-PU gel material, this transparent adhesive tape provides a strong, secure hold while remaining removable and reusable. It is a great option for customers who like to reorganise their pantry or change container contents without permanently attaching their labels.

3M Command Picture Hanging Strips

Another excellent semi-permanent option is 3M Command Picture Hanging Strips. These strips are designed for damage-free hanging and are ideal if you want a secure hold without using permanent adhesive.

The unique stretch-release design allows the strips to be removed by slowly pulling the adhesive strip in the direction of the arrow, helping to minimise damage to the mounting surface when removed correctly.
